The Amran 200x S is true to all of the reviews I’ve seen. Very bright light with great color rendering. The fan is constant but I don't think the noise level will be a problem. The hyper reflector does produce a hot spot in the center of the light radius. Perhaps Aputure will make a fresnel lens designed for the 200x S to get rid of that hot spot but until then, a light modifier will work best with this light. Over all, a great light with an excellent color range. If not for the hot spot, I’d give it 5 stars.

The amaran PT1c is a great budget light. If there wasn’t an Aputure MT Pro, then the PT1c would be my favorite light. I made a video comparing the value to me.

I recently upgraded my BDS from purely a switch to this system. What I loved is the flexible mounting possibilities, the usb option for power out, and of course the display. The information gives me assurance of how to better plan my day as well as stay on top of the life of my batteries. Incredible value and wonderful tech.

Wanted to add a new LED light to my studio. I currently use an older 300W LED light from a different brand that is only daylight color temperature. It is a good light, but it is unbelievable heavy. The light is heavy, the controller unit is heavy, the power brick is heavy, even the cords are heavy. A nightmare to move around the studio, and don't even think about taking to on location.
I wanted something smaller, lighter, and gives me the option of changing the color temperature if I wanted to. When the Amazon box came I was shocked how light it was. The light itself is very minimal which is what I like. A power switch and 2 controls for brightness and color temperature. You can use an app, but I always find it easier to go to the light and adjust the settings.

Before buying the light I was worried that the fan would be loud, but I ran it full brightness for over an hour and it still very quiet. I think the fan on my laptop gets louder.
The power brick is very light too! I love how they use a metal loop instead of plastic like my old light. The wrap for the power cord and anti-slip lock for the connector really made me happy. Those small details really matter after using one that doesnt have it. Also, the controller unit is built into the light head, eliminating more weight and making it easier to use.

These lights are bright. In my video I show how they exceed the brightness they list on their website. Very happy with my purchase!

Cons: Battery life could be better at full intensity, the menu scroll wheel seems finicky like it could be broken over time.. the app is not consistent at this time.. as far as staying connected when I add fixtures. I have to connect app every time I’m ready to use the lights

Pros: Modularity of the infini bar, easy menu navigation, light shape design vs the Cylindrical shape.. and this is coming from a guy who owns them all 😊 . I own the Astera Titan tube, Nanlite Tube and Quasar Science tube so I see where aputure borrowed a few features from 😉

The Inifinibar PB6 is a great addition to my kit. I'll probably purchase a couple more in the near future. The brightness is a big selling point for me, especially when working in the documentary field. Having something small, lightweight and powerful really helps. The build quality of the PB6 is also really solid. With other similar lights, the build quality always feels like you're one step away from breaking them. The PB6 on the other hand is sturdy and robust. This light can take a beating and still perform.

Love it so far, but haven’t used it on a shoot yet. I immediately started replacing my nanlites. Currently have 3 PB12 Infinibars. Will be ordering more when I sell my 8ft. Nanlites.

One request would be to have a blueprint of where the lights are on the app. So you can just press the exact one you need and adjust it as if it’s you actually looking at your setup real time. Hope that makes sense…

Overall, the mounting system is really convenient and easy to work with. Brightness and effects of the lights are great.

Overall, I'm pleased with it. The same useful controls as other amaran lights, and great as an accent. I'm slightly disappointed it doesn't have the same "AC mode" setting as the Accent B7c, because it would be useful to operate it from a power switch.

This light is a mini workhorse. Fits in almost any spot, and provides plenty of light for use in small to medium spaces. Paired up with my Light Dome Mini, it’s perfect for solo portrait and product photography.

Very happy with this power distribution solution!
The switches were a concern, but they lock into place securely.
Nice display with Metadata for both sources if utilized.
I'm replacing a AUDIOROOT ESMART BG-DH MKII which would give the momentary false low battery warning. (Causing a minor heart attack) Happy to say there are no false readings with the SPD-1!
My only negative thought is, I'm running it with 2 cups and l wish you could choose which source was being utilized vs drawing from both sources simultaneously.

I have owned several Aputure products and this one is probably my favorite. The ability for the main head to also charge v-mount batteries is a game changer, such a simple feature but reduces the amount of equipment I need to travel with and considering charing your batteries is essential - its a welcomed addition. Only criticism I have is the straps on the carrying case. During first usage one of the straps tore from the bag, probably due to the weight of the bag with the equipment in it and the angle I applied lift to carry. Granted - it comes free with the light and is a well made case so this is in no way a real criticism or concern. Just be mindful of how you lift the bag with the straps. Future versions of the case it would be nice for the straps to be more industrial with their connection to the carrying case so no one has to be mindful when loading all your gear after a long shoot. Love the light, probably will buy another one soon.

One of my biggest gripe’s with tubes and light wands is the lack of grid solutions. I was thinking of making my own grid until I saw this. Bought it expecting it to have an attached sheet for diffusion. Like the grid sheet for my dome light. The pictures sort of appeared that way to me initially. Maybe that’s something that could be added in the future for this. Either way I was satisfied with this grid. It works great and blocks the light exactly how i needed it. Thank you for creating an effective version of this so I wouldn’t have to :D

This Fresnal is amazing. I love extra push of light I can get out of my 600x. I also am a fan of harder lighting. This gives me the look I like from a lighting source punching through a 6x6 with a 50 degree grid. This also turns the 600x into a classic film light and makes it useful outdoors and to use to create splashes of light coming from outside a window. Well done Aputure!

Great tube especially for the price. I love Aputure & Amaran instruments.
