The Light OctaDome 120 is a 4 feet (120cm), Bowens Mount Octagonal Softbox that can transform any point source Bowens Mount light fixture into an ultra-soft and natural round eye light, such as the Aputure Light Storm 1200d Pro, 600d Pro, or 600x Pro.

For on-the-go shooting. Combining its flat-pack ability, compact carrying bag, and lightweight 1.7kg (3.75lbs) construction, the Light OctaDome 120 is the ideal balance between a square frame or a fully circular softbox.

Control your way. The Light OctaDome 120 includes two diffusion strengths (1.5 & 2.5 Stop), an inner baffle, and a 45º Light Control Grid to fine-tune your intensity and light quality.

Impossible to set up

I tried many different methods to get the octadome assembled and it was just impossible. Tried alternating rods, going opposite directions, putting in rods in different orders. Completely gave up and exchanging for the light dome with the bowens mount built in. This was unusable.

Set up is difficult

It’s really really difficult to seat the flexible rods in the hub. Really difficult. Maybe it will get easier over time?

Looks good hard to setup

It’s sooo hard to set up compared to the light dome 2 I’m used to and I can’t find any resources to show me why it’s so difficult

Perfect modifier

Excellent build quality and gives that sweet wrap around soft light for interviews and portraits.

Looks great but tricky to assemble

We like the look this modifier creates however it was tricky to put together. It works well if you're not planning on setting it up and taking it down frequently
